At the Pink Parlour

Yesterday was a great day at the Pink Parlour Festival.
I was at the RBK booth and we sold plenty of toys, plush and accessories to all kinds of great people and met great artist and crafters. Although I have been busy with school work and other art shows I still managed to make a few things to sell and did very well.

Here a few picks

It was cloudy during the day and it was drizzling in the morning during set up, but the day was wonderful, as most people described it.

Many people were there right at 11:00 and they just kept on coming.
There were goodie bags available for people who came in early, which I think was an awesome idea because the were like reusable shopping bags where people put what they purchases.

The set up was great and there was enough room for everything.
At the end of the day it was pretty empty.

There we a wide range of vendor and few were food vendor including pastries, cupcakes, and candy. The cupcakes were really cute and this cupcake had really good frosting.
During clean up they were selling them cheap to all vendors.

I had a great experience at The Pink Parlour Festival as a vendor and a shopper.
I will look forward to next year's festival.

Now I am just preparing for another Silverlake Vintage Art and Craft fair, and putting together a small craft fair with Enid and Edgar vintage, and the rest of the RBK group.
Really looking forward to that!

Mustaches Galore

The Shave and Mustache show was a great show with a lot of talent artists.
Al thought I have not painted in a while the painting turned out very nice.
I thank those who made it to the show! Thanks for the support.

The paintings are sold individually for $50 each, and can be bought as a set for $120.
They will be up for sale at Monkey House Toys until April 17.

Here is a quick look at the painting process.
I had a great time making them, it all started with sketches at the DMV!

Crazy for the Mustache

I got some picture of my doll for the Doll Makers Show at the Cactus Gallery.
It will up until April.

She is completely handmade and made out of fleece.

Make sure when making a doll you don't sew the legs on backwards, like I did.
Third time is the charm! :) I had to be, or I was moving on!

Also...
The Shave and Mustache Show is this weekend!
Here is a small sample of my paintings for the show, they will be up for sale until April.

I am excited for this show and meeting all the great artist who will also participate in this show.

Being Busy is Good A Thing

I have been keeping to busy these past few weeks. I had a lot to do, a custom hat order, little cup o' joes for flock shop, paintings and plush for shows, and homework for school. I can not complain it keeps me going.
I recently went to school which is really exciting but since I already have a previous degree and I am a full time crafter it gets really hard to buy all the supplies necessary. Good thing my friend Steve came to the rescue with an awesome discount on art supplies! Now I am prepared for fashion!

Besides that, I will be part of a Doll maker Show this weekend, along with my RBK buddies and other really talented artists. Opening night is this Saturday, March 12, from 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm. @ the Cactus Gallery in Eagle Rock.
